The Irish Film Festival Los Angeles returns March 19–21, 2027 for a three-day celebration of contemporary Irish cinema at the Laemmle Monica Film Center, presenting a bold and diverse programme of feature films, documentaries, award winning short films.
The Irish Film Festival Los Angeles 2027 brings together filmmakers, artists, industry professionals, the Irish and Irish-American community, and Los Angeles audiences for a specially curated programme of feature films, documentaries and short films from Ireland and Irish filmmakers working around the world.

The 2027 programme will showcase work from both established and emerging filmmakers, including new independent cinema, Irish-language films, documentaries and short filmmaking, reflecting the breadth of storytelling currently coming from Ireland.
Alongside the screenings, audiences can expect filmmaker Q&As, conversations and industry events, creating opportunities for audiences and filmmakers to meet, exchange ideas and celebrate Irish film together in Los Angeles.
The Irish Film Festival Los Angeles is a meeting point between the Irish and Los Angeles creative communities, supporting cultural exchange, developing new connections and providing Irish filmmakers with an important platform on the West Coast of the United States.
As Irish cinema continues to achieve extraordinary international recognition, CIACLA is proud to provide a space in Los Angeles where audiences can discover new work, meet the people behind the films and experience the range of voices shaping contemporary Irish filmmaking.
About The Irish Film Festival Los Angeles
The Irish Film Festival Los Angeles celebrates contemporary Irish filmmaking and strengthens the cultural and creative relationship between Ireland and Los Angeles.
The festival presents a curated selection of English and Irish (Gaeilge) language films by filmmakers from the island of Ireland and the wider Irish creative community internationally. Through screenings, filmmaker conversations, Q&As and industry engagement, the festival provides opportunities for Irish filmmakers to connect with new audiences and peers while giving Los Angeles audiences an opportunity to experience some of the most exciting work emerging from Irish cinema.
The festival is currently Directed by Matthew Nevin, supported by Jenny Minniti Shippey and Jenn McGuirk. We would like to acknowledge the original founders, key supporters and directors of the Irish Film Festival Los Angeles including but not limited to Lisa McLaughlin Strasman, Niall McKay, Marcus Fox, Pascal Ladreyt, Jan Kean, Deborah Kolar, Rachel Rath and many many more, whose vision over the years supported The Irish Film Festival Los Angeles.
